Black American walnut
Black American walnut is slow growing deciduous tree native to north America and Canada. Black walnut is a hardwood prized for its dark brown, purplish hue with a sometimes swirling grain, it can display many unique characteristics, such as knots and variations in depth of tone. Walnut will get lighter with age becoming more honeyed over time. We use a protective clear oil finish which enables the timber to age gracefully without heavy discolouration and withstand daily spillage.
European oak
European oak is a temperate white oak hardwood native to Europe. It presents a golden to light brown hue with a minimal grain pattern. We use a protective white oil finish to allow the timber to age gracefully without heavy discolouration and withstand daily spillage.
Black stained ash
We coat the ash wood in a black stain that allows the character of the wood to shine through. We then finish it in a transparent lacquer coating to allow the timber to retain its colour and withstand daily spillage.
