Hand blown glass shade
The Posent shade is a hand blown sphere with a warm whiskey colour. Each piece is unique and as such variations in colour and pattern will occur.
Brown oak
Brown oak is from an oak tree where the timber is naturally coloured by the fungus Fistulina Hepatica, commonly called the beefsteak fungus, due to its blood red colour. Often mature trees with a branch which has fallen off will attract the fungus and the colouring starts at the ‘wound’ and slowly penetrates the tree. Brown oak is rare to discover and valuable as such. Leaning towards the more unusual and highly-figured sections of wood, we hand-pick every piece - admiring the organic detail and lively displays of character.

Does the light come with a bulb?
We do not not supply light bulbs with our lighting collection so they can be tailored to your individual requirements. The recommended bulb for your new light piece can be found in the "Lighting specification" section of each product page.
What bulbs work with this light?

Is the light compatible with LED bulbs?
This piece is compatible with LED bulbs. We recommend using LED bulbs only.
Are the light switches dimmable?
All of our table lights are supplied with a dimmer switch as standard.
What do UL and CE mean?
Different countries have different safety certification for lighting. UL is the USA certification and CE is the EU standard. Please check which option is acceptable for the country you are using the light in, for example Canada uses UL and Australia uses CE.
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is a global safety certification for lighting supplied to the United States. Any light fixtures sold into the United States or Canada must use components or have the whole fixture tested by Underwriters Laboratories to ensure the highest safety standards.
Our UL lighting uses UL listed components.
The CE marking is required for goods sold in the European Economic Area. "CE" is the abbreviation of "conformité européenne" (French for "European conformity"). Any light fixtures sold into the EU must be assessed and deemed to meet EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements.

Can I customise this piece?
We do not offer customisation options as standard on our lighting collection as the pieces are made in small batches. However if you have a project that requires customisation on multiple pieces please contact our sales team to see how we can accommodate your request.
What is the weight of the product?
Approximate product weights can be found on the spec sheet downloaded from the product page. The weight excludes any packaging.
How do I clean the light?
It is best to avoid liquid cleaners. Any settled dust may be removed using a vacuum on the low setting
Care guide
Oiled wood
An oiled finish is a durable natural looking finish that can be revitalised (and if necessary, more easily repaired). Oiled finishes require some low level maintenance to keep the wood protected and looking its best.
Day to day cleaning:
• Wipe clean with a damp non-abrasive cloth, then using a dry cloth remove any excess moisture.
• Wipe up wine, oil and any liquids that might stain as quickly as possible.
• To ensure the finish remains as resilient as possible to staining we recommend Osmo Wash & Care (8016) as it contains soaps and oils to both nourish and prevent the wood from drying out.
6 monthly replenishment / more stubborn stains:
• As the piece is used it can dry out as the oil can thin with wear and washing with water alone. If the table looks dry or you have a more stubborn stain we recommend using a revitalising Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner (white 3087) for oak pieces and (clear 3029) for walnut pieces
Do not:
• Leave any water, wine, oil or liquids that might stain – wipe up as quickly as possible. (Oil provides a semi-permeable finish, which means some liquids can penetrate the surface if left).
